On this web site you will be able to find information about Pathfinder 25 the main fundraising event for the 25th Middlesbrough (Ormesby Pathfinders) Scout Group.

Pathfinder 25 is a 25 mile challenge hike on the North Yorkshire Moors, starting and ending at Ravengill Scout Campsite.

Last year saw the 26th running of the event which was held on 9th October 2010.

After having a year off due to foot and mouth the number of entries took a big dip in 2002, and at one point we considered whether or not to stop holding Pathfinder. We decided to give it one more year and to add a second 15 mile route, entries went up slightly and so we decided to continue, and entries have increased each year since. This year 170 people entered, the most since 1999 so a BIG thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years.

Those who have supported us last year will have noticed a slight change. The building we normally use to provide everyone with cooked meal at the end of the walk was pulled down in 2006, this meant a relocation of our catering facilities, and more importantly an extra 500 yards each way for those already tired legs! The work was completed last summer so we were back to normal again last October, I am sure there were plenty of tired legs that appreciated it. Thank you to everyone for being so understanding over the last few years.
